What is the Duke of Edinburgh Award all about?

The DofE is all about commitment and pushing yourself to achieve – gaining new skills, pushing yourself physically, helping others and exploring new territories. At the same time, you'll create great friendships, experiences and memories that will last a lifetime.

Levels

You can do the Duke Of Edinburgh's Award at three levels, Bronze, Silver or Gold. Bronze in Year 9, Silver in Year 10 and Gold in Sixth Form. Each of the DofE awards are nationally recognised qualifications.

Sections

You achieve your Award by completing a personal programme of activities in four sections:

The best bit is – you get to choose what you do!

You choose your programme - each section can be activities and projects that you enjoy, and along the way you'll develop experiences, friends and talents that will stay with you for the rest of your life.

What to do next?

If you need any further information click on the links below for the award you would like to take part in. Also talk to the Duke of Edinburgh Coordinator in school - Mr Bolton.

If you've been given a place on an award, you can find out more info about getting started, choosing your activities and how to complete your award on the Duke of Edinburgh website www.dofe.org
