Sixth Form Bulletin

16th September 2024

Year 13 bulletin

Morning all,

Just a short bulletin this week as we’re still at the start of term - but as the term goes on there will be more events and opportunities coming up. There are a few of Open days coming up and they would be useful in helping you make an informed decision about university choices.

Weekly

Quote of the week:

“He who would learn to fly one day must first learn to stand and walk and run and climb and dance; one cannot fly into flying.”

Friedrich Nietzsche, Philosopher

A few general announcements:

  • Staff have put together a range of support material so you can build in some of the super-curricular activities or get ahead with understanding key topics. Use the link here: Independent Study activities

UCAS

  • Please make sure you have completed the Education section of the UCAS application; add your GCSE and AS results and then add the three A Levels you are studying, putting ‘pending’ as the grade and also add Advanced WBQ. Any problems let me know.
  • An interesting and worthwhile article: When is a top university not a top university?
  • If you’re really undecided about careers or potential pathways after 6th Form then maybe try this quiz: https://sacu-student.com/
