At St Cyres School, we believe in actively promoting the wellbeing of all; we value high standards of care, support and safety of both our pupils and staff. As well as high standards of teaching and learning experiences and achievement for all, we value equality and breadth of opportunity for all.

Our School Aims:

● Develop ambitious, capable learners who are ready to learn throughout their lives.

●  Develop enterprising, creative contributors who are ready to play a full part in life and work.
●  Develop ethical, informed citizens who are ready to be citizens of Wales and the world.
● Develop healthyconfident individuals who are ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society.
● To provide all members of the school with the widest range of educational opportunities in a well-structured, orderly, secure, caring and happy environment.
● To maximise the potential of all pupils so that they have the opportunity to experience success of all kinds and have opportunities to develop a full range of academic, vocational, sporting, creative, social and cultural skills.
● To actively promote life-long enjoyment of learning, celebrate success, value effort and learn from our failures.
●  To develop self-discipline, self-esteem and self-motivation.
●  To promote tolerance and equality of opportunity for all.
●  To respect, value and be considerate of all members of the community within and beyond the school including their religious and moral values, races and identities.
● To have pride in the school, the community and ourselves.
● To recognise our responsibilities towards the community and help those who are less fortunate than us.

Starting secondary school can be an anxious time for many. At St Cyres School, our staff fully understand this and work very closely with primary schools to ensure an effective and smooth transition process for all the pupils that join us in Year 7, whether pupils join us from our local schools or beyond. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that every pupil that starts at St Cyres School feels welcome, supported and most importantly happy. Each year, we tailor our transition programme to suit the needs of our prospective pupils and offer bespoke transition support to those individuals with specific additional needs.

St Cyres is a highly sought after school and our application numbers continue to rise with each academic year. Please find below the timeline for admissions in Year 7 to St Cyres School below:

Please do not hesitate to get in touch with our Transition Co-ordinator, Ms U Hirani if you require any further information.
